Founded in 1985, The George is Ireland's oldest gay bar and one of Europe's most celebrated LGBTQ+ institutions. Located on South Great George's Street in the heart of Dublin, it has been at the centre of Irish gay life for four decades.

The Experience

Spanning multiple floors and rooms, The George is both pub and nightclub. The ground floor is a traditional, welcoming gay bar; upstairs transforms into a club space from Thursday through Sunday. Legendary drag nights (Shirley Temple Bar has been hosting for 20+ years) are unmissable.
